Message metadata only. Track each original alias and the separate delivery status of every forwarding destination. Handed off means the destination server accepted it, not confirmed inbox delivery.
SMTP for forwarded email
Configure your domain at the provider that hosts its DNS records.
1. Verify domain ownership
Add your domain in the portal. Copy its unique TXT name and value into your DNS provider, then select Verify domain.
TXT name: _mailforward-verify.your-domain.example
TXT value: mf-verification=your-unique-token
Use the exact token shown for your domain. The example above is not a valid token.
2. Route incoming email
Add an MX record at your domain root (@) pointing to each SMTP hostname listed above, using the listed priority. MX targets must have A/AAAA records and must not be CNAMEs.
Keep existing mail service in mind before replacing MX records. Wait for DNS propagation, then create an alias and send a test email from an external mailbox.
